ALL-NATURAL LEATHER BALM
Protect and prevent gloves from drying out
Our all-natural Hestra Leather Balm is formulated to protect your sport gloves and is a great way to prevent leather from drying out. Prolongs the life, suppleness and water repellent properties of the leather.
CRAFTSMANSHIP IS ALWAYS IN STYLE: Hestra was founded in 1936 and is still run by the Magnusson family. Design and development is still done in the small town of Hestra, Sweden.
A PAIR OF GLOVES IN NUMBERS: Hestra emphasizes quality in each step of the process. Each glove is hand-made with love, attention to details and focus on product longevity.
WARM HANDS TO START: Hands and feet are the first body parts to suffer when you are out in the cold, and quality hand protection helps to compensate for the body’s natural function of maintaining heat.
RECOMMENDED USE:
We recommend only using our leather balm for our sport gloves in goatskin or cowhide leather. Other leathers such as deerskin, elk leather, peccary, carpincho and hairsheep which are more common in our dress gloves are oftentimes not suitable to be treated with leather balm. These leathers do not absorb the balm very well and thus may leave a sticky surface and also cause the leather to look mottled with color variations.
BEST FOR:
Use leather balm only on our sport gloves in goatskin or cowhide leather. Grease the leather regularly and it will resist moisture and wear and tear better.
ALL NATURAL:
Made from carnauba wax, lanolin, beeswax, and neatsfoot oil, our leather balm is made from all natural ingredients.
HOW TO APPLY:
To apply leather balm, moisten the leather and use a polishing cloth to rub the balm in until the leather is saturated. A small amount of balm will go a long way. Balm your gloves in the evening to allow ample time for the gloves to fully absorb the balm. Dry the gloves in room temperature and avoid any heating source. Gloves made from goat leather and cowhide need to be balmed.
